- Listverse.com: The first one we'll be looking at is Listverse. Listverse will pay you $100 for any accepted article, however these are their rules:
➢ They don't accept stolen works.
➢ YOU MUST HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT
➢ They accept things like unsolved mysteries, hidden knowledge (things you know that people don't know), astonishing general knowledge about anything, and general misconceptions. 
➢ They reject articles on opinion lists. 

If you can fulfill all these obligations, then head over to the Submission form and submit your article.
One good thing in writing for them is that they'll also promote your blog, Facebook, Twitter and/or Instagram account if you have any. All you have to do is to include it while submitting your article and they'll stick it to the bottom of the page,

- The Sun Magazine: The sun magazine pay writers for poems and also articles based on fiction and non'fiction. They also pay for interviews. 
Their rates are as follows:
$300 - $2000 for interviews and essays
$300 - $1,500 for fiction, and
$100 to $200 for poems.

- Glimmer Train: Glimmer Train is an American magazine that is looking for original short stories for this thrice-yearly publication. However, unlike the above listed ones, you need to submit your article with a $2 processing fee. The pay upto $700 for accepted articles. 
They also pay $2,000 to $3,000 for 1st place prizes. According to them these are made possible by reading fees.
There awards include:
Short Story Award for New Writers (1st place - $2,500). Articles should run from 1,000 to 4,000 words. However, they also accept articles of 12,00 words.
You should submit them on January/February, May/June, and September/October
Very Short Fiction (1st place - $2,000). Article should be between 300 to 3,000 words.
You should submit them on March/April, July/August, and November/December
➢ Fiction Open (1st place - $3,000)
You should submit them on March/April, and July/August.
➢ Family Matters (1st place - $2,500). Articles should be from 1,000 to 5,000 words. However, they also accept articles of upto 12,000 words.

You should submit them on April and November. The maximum word count should be 12,000. However they also accept articles of shorter lengths.

One Story: One Story is a magazine that is looking for literary fiction. They ONLY accept stories of 3,000 and 8,000 words. They are looking feeling for stories that'll leave their readers feeling satisfied also give them a sense of independence.
They pay $500 for articles accepted and the article must not have been previously published on any website, blog (including personal blogs), other online literary magazines and forums. 
You can submit files in PDF, RTF, and TXT formats but they must be less than 500KB. You should also include the story title and the writer's contact info on the first page of the submitted file.

VQR: The Virginia Quarterly Review is a literary magazine in the United States. It was founded in 1925 by James Southall Wilson. It pays $200 per poem and you can submit upto four poems. They also pay $500 for Book reviews of around 2,000-2,400 words and $1,000 and above for short fiction.

All articles should be in 
- Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) 
- Rich Text Format (.rtf), and/or 
- Plain Text (.txt) formats.
Your articles should be in letter-sized format with ample margins and typed with a standard typeface.
